30 March 2009 :   The Committee took oral evidence from Mark Buchan and agreed to write to the Scottish Government, Department for International Development and the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body seeking responses to the issues raised in the petition.<Link to Official Report 30 March 2009  

16 June 2009 :   The Committee agreed to close the petition on the grounds that both the Scottish Government and the Department for International Development have confimed their commitment to addressing poverty and deprivation in Africa. <Link to Official Report 16 June 2009
