The Committee will meet at 10.30 am in Debating Chamber

1. Consideration of new petitions: The Committee will consider the following new petitions—

PE1367 Ban Mosquito devices now. The Committee will take evidence from Andrew Deans

PE1368 Political education for all. The Committee will take evidence from Rowena Carlton

PE1369 Young people’s views on provision of leisure and cultural facilities. The Committee will take evidence from Jodie McCoy and Jennifer Kerr

Proposed future business

At its next meeting, on 9 November, the Committee is expected to consider new petitions on improved mobile phone coverage in rural areas; guidelines for initial teacher education programmes; Scottish football - corporate governance; apology from Scottish Government to Scottish Gypsy traveller community; and justice for Megrahi. The Committee is also expected to further consider current petitions on publication of criminal memoirs; deep vein thrombosis; upgrade of the A92; simplification of Disclosure Scotland procedures; emerging technologies and engagement of young people; display of sexually graphic magazines and newspapers; GP dispensing; overnight running of freight trains; and Larbert rail noise and vibration.
