S2W-21925 Eleanor Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive when the review of the strategic framework for aquaculture, referred to in paragraph 9.15 of Choosing Our Future: Scotland’s Sustainable Development Strategy, commenced and when the Executive expects to revise the framework as a result of the review.

S2W-21926 Bill Butler: To ask the Scottish Executive how much it cost to organise and carry out the postal ballot to elect the five local representative members of the Cairngorms National Park Authority.

S2W-21927 Sarah Boyack: To ask the Scottish Executive why it has chosen to mirror the Office of Government Commerce’s implementation of the new EU Public Sector and Utilities Procurement Directives.

S2W-21928 Sarah Boyack: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it agrees that the new EU Public Sector and Utilities Directives do not simply clarify existing guidance but provide additional scope to undertake public procurement in such a way that achieves value for money whilst meeting social, employment and environmental challenges.

S2W-21929 Sarah Boyack: To ask the Scottish Executive why the draft regulations implementing the new EU Public Sector and Utilities Procurement Directives implement Articles 25 (sub-contracting) and 27 (obligations relating to taxes etc) as being optional and not mandatory.

S2W-21930 Sarah Boyack: To ask the Scottish Executive, given the deadlines for transposing the new EU Public Sector and Utilities Procurement Directives, whether it will publish its own separate and distinct social issues guidance in respect of the directives or whether it will copy the guidance currently being prepared by the Office of Government Commerce.

S2W-21933 Euan Robson: To ask the Scottish Executive what powers local authorities have to levy charges in respect of planning gain before a planning application has been approved or before legislation, such as a Bill to reinstate a railway, has received Royal Assent.

S2W-21934 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many deaths have been caused by clostridium difficile in each year since 1997, broken down by NHS board.

S2W-21935 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive how many deaths from cancer there were in each former European parliamentary constituency in each of the 10 years prior to the Chernobyl incident, broken down by NHS board area.

S2W-21936 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-21240 by George Lyon on 14 December 2005, what research or investigation has been carried out into the increased incidence of cancer deaths in the south of Scotland since the Chernobyl incident.

S2W-21937 Mrs Nanette Milne: To ask the Scottish Executive what the largest maternity unit is in Scotland and how many births have been delivered at it in each of the last five years.

S2W-21938 Mrs Nanette Milne: To ask the Scottish Executive how many practising maternity units there have been in each year from 1980 to 2005 and what the reasons were for any closures.

S2W-21939 Mrs Nanette Milne: To ask the Scottish Executive how many midwife hours have been worked in each year from 1994 to 2005.

S2W-21940 Mrs Nanette Milne: To ask the Scottish Executive how many obstetricians there have been in each year from 1980 to 2005.

S2W-21941 Mrs Nanette Milne: To ask the Scottish Executive what the ratio is of maternity units with 24-hour on-site consultant cover to those that do not have such cover and whether it will list the units in each category.

S2W-21943Δ Maureen Macmillan: To ask the Scottish Executive when it will make an announcement on the proposal to increase the generating capacity of the existing wind-powered generating station at Paul’s Hill in Moray.

S2W-21944 Alex Fergusson: To ask the Scottish Executive what percentage of farm businesses in Dumfries and Galloway will have received the single farm payment by the end of December 2005 and when those businesses that have not received their payment should expect to do so.

S2W-21946 Mrs Nanette Milne: To ask the Scottish Executive how many deaths have been caused by clostridium difficile in hospitals in each of the last five years and what action is being taken to address this issue.

S2W-21947 Mrs Nanette Milne: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it is meeting its 48-hour access target to a GP surgery and whether patients can book an appointment in advance of this timescale and, if so, whether the Executive will provide more funding to GPs to allow patients to do so.

S2W-21948 Mrs Nanette Milne: To ask the Scottish Executive how many NHS staff were physically attacked at work in each year since 1999.

S2W-21949 Mrs Nanette Milne: To ask the Scottish Executive how many patients in 2005 received a scan on the same day as having a stroke, expressed also as a percentage of patients who had a stroke in the same timescale.

S2W-21950 Michael Matheson: To ask the Scottish Executive what level of funding has been allocated to local authorities for improvement services and what the source of funding has been in each financial year since 2003.

S2W-21951 Michael Matheson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will provide a breakdown of the cost of improvement services for local authorities, including the level of funding used for commissioning consultants’ reports, in each financial year since 2003.

S2W-21952 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what measures have been introduced since 1999 to bring together universities, businesses, research institutes and colleges to ensure that companies have the earliest opportunity to benefit from the newest technologies.
