S2W-17373 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many of its officials received honours in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for 2005 as a result of the recommendations made by the Executive and what rank of honour each official received.

S2W-17387 Jeremy Purvis: To ask the Scottish Executive what representations it has made to the organisers of the London 2012 Olympic bid regarding the reinstatement of rugby sevens as an Olympic sport.

S2W-17388 Alasdair Morgan: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will make an assessment of the possibility of installing a light-controlled pedestrian crossing on the A75 in Springholm, Kirkcudbrightshire.

S2W-17389 Mrs Nanette Milne: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it is (a) aware of the radiosurgery device known as the “CyberKnife” and (b) considering using sterotactic surgery throughout Scotland, or at least in the new cancer centre in Glasgow.

S2W-17392 Mary Scanlon: To ask the Scottish Executive what action it is taking to end fuel poverty by 2016.

S2W-17393 Mary Scanlon: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will take action to ensure that there is a single point of access in respect of applications for grants under the warm deal programme.

S2W-17395 Mr Brian Monteith: To ask the Scottish Executive what guidelines it has issued to local authorities regarding access to continuing education for young people with learning difficulties, in particular autistic spectrum disorder, once they leave compulsory education.

S2W-17396 Mr Brian Monteith: To ask the Scottish Executive how many Scottish children have been referred to independent special schools outwith Scotland in each year since 1997, broken down by (a) home and (b) destination local authority.

S2W-17397 Mr Brian Monteith: To ask the Scottish Executive how many young people have been sectioned under the Mental Health (Scotland) Act 1984 in each year since 1997 after leaving special school provision.

S2W-17398 Mr Brian Monteith: To ask the Scottish Executive how many people who have been sectioned under the Mental Health (Scotland) Act 1984 in each year since 1997 were believed to have autistic spectrum disorder.

S2W-17399 Mr Brian Monteith: To ask the Scottish Executive how much capital funding it has provided to (a) state and (b) independent special schools since 1997, broken down by sector and local authority area.

S2W-17400 Mr Brian Monteith: To ask the Scottish Executive how much each local authority has spent on post-16 care for people with learning disabilities and how much of this was spent on people with autistic spectrum disorder in each year since 1997.

S2W-17401 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it considers that the level of service in prisons is affected by staff turnover and, if so, in what way and whether the provision of information on this issue is in the public interest.

S2W-17402 Lord James Douglas-Hamilton: To ask the Scottish Executive what percentage of the responses to its consultation on the draft Scottish Schools (Parental Involvement) Bill were in favour of the retention of school boards, either as they are or with some amendment, improvement or adjustment to their current form, and what percentage of the responses received were totally committed to their abolition.

S2W-17403 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answers to questions S2W-17045 and S2W-17046 by Cathy Jamieson on 14 June 2005, whether it considers that the dismissal of Premier prison officers employed to carry out the functions of the contract between the Scottish Prison Service and Premier Prison Services Ltd for the management of HM Prison Kilmarnock is a matter of public interest and, if so, what involvement it has in any instances of dismissal.

S2W-17404 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answers to questions S2W-17045 and S2W-17046 by Cathy Jamieson on 14 June 2005, whether the answers indicate that there has been no communication between either Premier Prison Services Ltd and itself or the Scottish Prison Service and itself in relation to the dismissal of any Premier prison officer for disciplinary offences in the last five years.

S2W-17405 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-17043 by Cathy Jamieson on 14 June 2005, whether Premier Prison Services Ltd has given any indication when it will complete the investigation into the allegations made in the BBC documentary in respect of HM Prison Kilmarnock.

S2W-17406 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-15194 by Cathy Jamieson on 14 April 2005, whether the Scottish Prison Service gave directions to Premier Prison Services Ltd to have the investigation into the allegations made in the BBC documentary in respect of HM Prison Kilmarnock completed by a particular date, and, if so, by what date.

S2W-17407 Dr Elaine Murray: To ask the Scottish Executive what current legislation applies to the protection of circus animals.

S2W-17408 Dr Elaine Murray: To ask the Scottish Executive what sections of the draft Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Bill apply to circus animals.

S2W-17409 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has any representation on the working group set up by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs into fisheries quota management and, if so, what position it has taken with regard to the introduction of individual transferable quotas and what steps have been taken to consult the fishing industry prior to any recommendations being made by the working group.

S2W-17410 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions have taken place with the European Union regarding assistance for the fishing industry to alleviate, or offset, the rising costs of fuel.

S2W-17411 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what the status is of the UK Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit’s report, Net Benefits, in relation to Scotland and which recommendations in the report have been, or are to be, implemented in Scotland.

S2W-17412 Rob Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether, following the decision of the European Council of Foreign Ministers to allow the usage of all official lesser-used languages in European institutions, with the result that they can be used at Council meetings and by the Commission, that legislation will be translated into lesser-used languages and that speakers can write using their own language to EU institutions, it intends requesting the UK government to implement these new provisions.

S2W-17413 Rob Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive when its action group set up to find ways of recruiting and retaining Gaelic-medium teachers will report on a national action plan.

S2W-17414 Rob Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive what the likely impact will be on future Gaelic-broadcasting funding decisions for educational programmes of the recent recommendation by Ofcom that a dedicated Scottish Gaelic digital channel be created.

S2W-17415 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-17137 by Mr Andy Kerr on 15 June 2005, how much compensation the NHS has paid in respect of clinical negligence claims in each year since 1997, broken down by NHS board.

S2W-17416 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-17138 by Mr Andy Kerr on 15 June 2005, how much the NHS has paid in respect of legal fees in clinical negligence cases in each year since 1997, broken down by NHS board.

S2W-17417 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-13348 by Ms Margaret Curran on 21 February 2005, what the First Minister’s official engagements were from 1 January 2005 to the most recent available date; who was present at each engagement; what the (a) date and (b) location was of each engagement, and what issues were discussed.

S2W-17418 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-14140 by Mr Tom McCabe on 28 January 2005, what costs have been incurred by the First Minister in respect of hospitality from 1 January 2005 to the most recent available date.

S2W-17429 Chris Ballance: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will provide a breakdown of figures contained in the Enterprise, Transport and Lifelong Learning department’s section of Consolidated Resource Accounts for the Year ended 31 March 2004 to show what percentage of the department’s budget was spent on (a) its grant to Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd, (b) other transport programmes, (c) European Structural Funds - central and (d) European Structural Funds - support to local authorities.
