S2W-16436 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what improvements have been made to the A96 in each of the last six years and what improvements are scheduled to be carried out in the future.

S2W-16437 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive to what extent the potential impact on the marine environment of offshore wind farms has been assessed.

S2W-16438 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what the employment levels in the aquaculture sector are currently and have been in each of the last six years.

S2W-16439 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to implement recommendations made by Sheriff Croan in his fatal accident report of November 2004 in respect of the appointment of designated watch officers in prisons.

S2W-16442 Mr Stewart Maxwell: To ask the Scottish Executive , further to the answer to question S2W-16163 by Cathy Jamieson on 10 May 2005, what the cost will be of the preparations undertaken for a procurement exercise to replace the criminal history system database.

S2W-16444 Dr Elaine Murray: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-16283 by Ross Finnie on 10 May 2005, what the regulations are which came into force on 12 January 2005.

S2W-16445 Lord James Douglas-Hamilton: To ask the Scottish Executive when the table “Number and percentage of school pupils with no qualifications at Standard Grade (or equivalent) or better on leaving school”, available in the Scottish Parliament Information Centre (Bib. number 33501), will be updated to show the number of children who left school with no qualifications in 2003-04.

S2W-16446 Lord James Douglas-Hamilton: To ask the Scottish Executive how many candidates have achieved 70% or above in standard grade (a) maths and (b) English in each year since 1997.

S2W-16447 Lord James Douglas-Hamilton: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will provide a breakdown of how the National Priorities Action Fund is allocated, including funds directed to nutrition in schools and the inclusion programme.

S2W-16448 Lord James Douglas-Hamilton: To ask the Scottish Executive how many pupils have been referred to independent special schools in each year since 1997, broken down by local authority area.

S2W-16451 Jim Mather: To ask the Scottish Executive , further to the answer to question S2W-16268 by Mr Tom McCabe on 11 May 2005, what the specific date is on which the Fresh Talent Working in Scotland Scheme will be launched and, if it is not aware of the specific date, when it expects to be and why this information was not provided in the answer to question S2W-16268.

S2W-16452 Michael Matheson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many persons under 16 years of age have been held in prison in each of the last six years, broken down by (a) prison and (b) length of stay.

S2W-16453 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-16252 by Cathy Jamieson on 11 May 2005, what the timetable is for HM Chief Inspector of Prisons to finalise his plans “to inspect the conditions in which prisoners are transported or held in pursuance of prisoner escort arrangements”.

S2W-16454 Dr Elaine Murray: To ask the Scottish Executive , following the introduction of the five-in-one vaccine in August 2004, whether parents of children who previously received the separate oral version of the polio vaccine will be offered the oral vaccine and the previous four-in-one vaccine when a booster is due, in order to alleviate concerns that the new vaccine may overload the child’s immune system and increase the risk of adverse reactions.

S2W-16455 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive, with reference to Towards Better Oral Health in Children - An Independent Analysis of Responses to the Consultation on Children’s Oral Health, who the “independent researchers” were who compiled the document.

S2W-16456 Scott Barrie: To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions it has had with the Forth Estuary Transport Authority regarding Forth Road Bridge prepaid voucher holders having to pay an additional 18p per crossing in cash as a consequence of the recent increase in tolls on the bridge.

S2W-16457 Mr Stewart Maxwell: To ask the Scottish Executive, in light of recent reports that the incidence of low birth weight is increasing and in view of the evidence that effective smoking cessation interventions in pregnancy reduce the prevalence of low birth weight, whether the Executive has any plans to set targets for reducing smoking in pregnancy broken down by deprivation quintile, given that in 2003 the smoking rate among pregnant women was in the least-deprived quintile 13.6% but in the most-deprived quintile 35.8%.

S2W-16458 Alex Johnstone: To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions it has had, or plans to have, with (a) Her Majesty’s Government and (b) representatives of the pleasure craft sector regarding EU proposals that would remove the derogation that allows pleasure craft owners to use red diesel.

S2W-16459 Alex Johnstone: To ask the Scottish Executive what assessment it has made, or plans to make, of the importance of pleasure craft-related tourism to the economy.

S2W-16460 Alex Johnstone: To ask the Scottish Executive what its response is to any concerns that the pleasure craft sector in Scotland might have regarding EU proposals that would remove the derogation that allows pleasure craft owners to use red diesel.

S2W-16461 Alex Johnstone: To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions it has had, or plans to have, with Her Majesty’s Government regarding any further removals by the European Union of derogations from sectors that can currently use red diesel.

S2W-16462 Murdo Fraser: To ask the Scottish Executive how much electricity the new Rothes Windfarm at Cairn Uish has generated in its first week and how much the wind farm is projected to generate over a year.
