S2W-5980 Dr Sylvia Jackson: To ask the Scottish Executive what measures are being taken to protect children from viewing inappropriate material on the internet.

S2W-5981 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive how many chief constables, assistant chief constables and deputy chief constables who have been appointed since 1999 have had no previous experience of serving in the police force in Scotland.

S2W-5982 Scott Barrie: To ask the Scottish Executive how many Distinction awards were made by NHS Scotland in each year since 1999, showing whether the recipients were employed in (a) the Common Services Agency, (b) primary care, (c) teaching hospitals or (d) non-teaching hospitals.

S2W-5983 Mr Kenneth Macintosh: To ask the Scottish Executive what steps it is taking to increase the number of nurses with specialist qualifications in palliative care.

S2W-5984 Mr Kenneth Macintosh: To ask the Scottish Executive what action it is taking to meet the desire of people with a life-limiting disease to die at home.

S2W-5985 Mr Kenneth Macintosh: To ask the Scottish Executive whether the number of cancer deaths at home is rising or falling.

S2W-5986 Mr Kenneth Macintosh: To ask the Scottish Executive what services are being put in place to support palliative care at home, including assisting with the control of pain and other symptoms, providing extra help for carers, meeting the need for nursing care in the home at night and providing advice and information through a telephone support service.

S2W-5987 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-5725 by Cathy Jamieson on 3 February 2004, if statistics regarding convictions under the Dog Fouling (Scotland) Act 2003 are not held centrally, how it intends to monitor the efficacy of the legislation.

S2W-5988 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive what progress is being made with the consultation on the draft Bill on charity law reform.

S2W-5989 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-5666 by Mr Jim Wallace on 28 January 2004, what the reasons are for the Open University increasing its fees to students when the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council has increased its grant to the university this year.

S2W-5990 Mr Adam Ingram: To ask the Scottish Executive how much funding will be, or has been, allocated to advocacy services in respect of supporting the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Bill, broken down by (a) organisation and (b) location of organisation.

S2W-5991 Mr Adam Ingram: To ask the Scottish Executive what process will be used when bidding for advocacy services in respect of the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Bill.

S2W-5992 Mr Adam Ingram: To ask the Scottish Executive what process is used when selecting service user and carer consultees and in selecting such representation on mental health working groups.

S2W-5993 Mr Adam Ingram: To ask the Scottish Executive which service user and carer organisations and individuals have participated in mental health working groups since 1999.

S2W-5994 David McLetchie: To ask the Scottish Executive how many babies have (a) developed life threatening Group B streptococcal infections, (b) died due to Group B streptococcal infections and (c) survived but have been left with serious long-term mental or physical problems due to Group B streptococcal infections, in each of the last 10 years for which records are available.

S2W-5995 David McLetchie: To ask the Scottish Executive whether the NHS has considered introducing the enrichment culture method test, found to be effective in screening for Group B streptococcal infections in Europe and the United States of America, for all pregnant women.

S2W-5996 Mr Jamie Stone: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to upgrade the cross runway at Wick Airport.

S2W-5997 Dr Elaine Murray: To ask the Scottish Executive what effect negotiations at the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council in December 2003 will have on prawn fishing in the west of Scotland.

S2W-5998 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to expand the provision of undergraduate education for health professionals to meet the needs of its legislative programme.

S2W-5999 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to increase the number of consultant dermatologists.

S2W-6000 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive what its definition is of an outreach centre for dental training.

S2W-6001 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many postgraduate dental training posts it has approved for the Grampian NHS Board area and how many new posts it will approve and support for the area in each of the next three years.

S2W-6002 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive what it estimates the manpower requirements will be for the professions of medicine, pharmacy, dentistry and optometry for each of the next 10 years, broken down by NHS board area, to meet the needs of its plans for the future delivery of healthcare services.

S2W-6003 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive what advice it has issued to local authority planning departments since 1999 in respect of dealing with wind farm applications with regard to the effects of wind farms on human amenity, safety and health.

S2W-6004 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive what the cost has been of each investigation carried out by the NHS Fraud Investigation Unit since its inception and what the annual cost is of maintaining the unit and its helpline.

S2W-6005 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will support the proposed regulation of smoking Bill by Stewart Maxwell MSP or whether it will introduce its own legislation.

S2W-6006 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive when it will publish its plans with regard to the diversification of the Banff and Buchan economy following its fishing decommissioning scheme.

S2W-6007 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive when it will propose that the role and responsibilities of local authorities be debated in the Scottish Parliament.

S2W-6008 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive how much it estimates out-of-hours primary medical services will cost after 1 April 2004, broken down by NHS board area, and whether it will allocate resources to ensure that service levels in other areas of healthcare are not compromised after this date.

S2W-6009Δ Mr Jamie Stone: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to review the current controls on bovine TB.

S2W-6010 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether the cost of delivery of healthcare by patient episode has risen in line with the increased allocation of resources in real terms.

S2W-6011 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will publish the results of its consultation with each NHS board on the effects and costs of the reduction of hours of junior doctors.

S2W-6012 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive when it will provide dedicated residential facilities for people with eating disorders in each NHS board area and whether it will encourage the provision of independent sector facilities for people with eating disorders to add capacity to the NHS where boards are unable to provide such a service.

S2W-6013 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive what the target dates are for the implementation of free dental and eye checks and what the results of its negotiations were with relevant professional bodies with regard to the provision of such services.

S2W-6016 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will publish, prior to the Stage 1 debate on the National Health Service Reform (Scotland) Bill, its evidence to support its view that the Bill is cost neutral in respect of the abolition of NHS trusts.

S2W-6017 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive what patient consultation it has completed with regard to its proposal to abolish local health care councils and what consultation has been conducted with regard to the independence of the new Scottish Health Council.

S2W-6018 Mr Bruce McFee: To ask the Scottish Executive how many complaints have been made to the Standards Commission for Scotland in each year since its inception on issues arising from the Code of Conduct for Councillors, broken down by local authority.

S2W-6019 Mr Bruce McFee: To ask the Scottish Executive how many complaints have been made to the Standards Commission for Scotland in each year since its inception on issues arising from the Model Code of Conduct for Members of Public Bodies, broken down by public body.

S2W-6020 Mr Bruce McFee: To ask the Scottish Executive whether the Chief Investigating Officer (CIO) is part of the Standards Commission for Scotland and, if not, whether the CIO shares administrative support with the commission.

S2W-6021 Mr Bruce McFee: To ask the Scottish Executive whether any person who is a member of the Standards Commission for Scotland was invited to give any views in respect of those being considered for appointment as Chief Investigating Officer.

S2W-6022 Mr Bruce McFee: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will publish the full text of the advertisement for the post of Chief Investigating Officer of the Standards Commission for Scotland; where the post was advertised, and how many applications were received.

S2W-6023 Mr John Home Robertson: To ask the Scottish Executive what regulations there are to control the marketing of potentially lethal swords and knives and whether it has any plans to introduce any further restrictions on the display and sale of such weapons in retail premises.

S2W-6024 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-5644 by Mr Tom McCabe on 4 February 2004, how many (a) dentistry graduates and (b) applicants to dental schools there were in each year from 1990 to 2000.

S2W-6025 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has any plans for area tourist boards to become city region based.

S2W-6026 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive which of its health-related helplines will be transferred to NHS 24; what resources will be transferred, and whether any staff posts will be reduced as a result.

S2W-6027 Shona Robison: To ask the Scottish Executive what additional funding has been made available to NHS Counter Fraud Services to tackle fraud in the NHS; how such additional funding has been utilised, and how many investigations into NHS Counter Fraud Services has carried out since it received additional funding.

S2W-6028 Rob Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive what steps it is taking as a result of the action being taken by the European Commission against the UK over failures to ensure sufficient protection of wild birds, in so far as these affect Scotland.

S2W-6029 Rob Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it plans to classify black grouse, ptarmigan, red grouse and partridge, as protected species of wild birds as defined by the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

S2W-6030 Rob Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive what information it has in respect of the decline in numbers of black grouse and ptarmigan.

S2W-6031 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-4301 by Mr Tom McCabe on 5 December 2003 indicating that the first review of the Care Commission will take place in 2007, whether it will now review the commission on an annual basis.
