S2W-3741 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-3026 by Cathy Jamieson on 13 October 2003, whether information concerning the cost of fuel for vehicles for each police force is held centrally as was provided in the answer to question S1W-6537 by Mr Jim Wallace and, if so, what this cost was to each police force in each year since 1999-2000.

S2W-3826 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive what action it is taking to protect skills and jobs in the call centre industry in light of global outsourcing of services to Asia.

S2W-3827 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions it has had with COSLA in relation to the nursery nurses' dispute.

S2W-3828 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive what consideration it will give to the 60,000 signatures collected in the Evening Times petition in support of saving the Queen Mother's Hospital.

S2W-3829 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will take into account the experience of maternity hospital closures in Edinburgh when it considers the Greater Glasgow NHS Board recommendations on the future of maternity services in Glasgow.

S2W-3830 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will consider the proposals on the future of maternity services in Glasgow in relation to the wider impact such changes will have on (a) the West of Scotland and (b) Scotland as a whole.

S2W-3831 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will consider a central review of maternity services to determine the cross-flow of patients between NHS boards as a result of board decisions on maternity provision.

S2W-3833 Mr Adam Ingram: To ask the Scottish Executive how many males released from prison have committed suicide within three years of release in each of the last five years.

S2W-3834 Mr Adam Ingram: To ask the Scottish Executive how many male prisoners have committed suicide in each of the last five years, broken down by age.

S2W-3835 Mr Adam Ingram: To ask the Scottish Executive how many male prisoners diagnosed with a mental illness have committed suicide in each of the last five years, broken down by age.

S2W-3836 Mr Adam Ingram: To ask the Scottish Executive how many children leaving care have committed suicide in each of the last five years, broken down by age, gender and local authority area.

S2W-3837 Mr Adam Ingram: To ask the Scottish Executive how many patients discharged from psychiatric units have committed suicide within one month of release in each of the last five years.

S2W-3838 Mr Adam Ingram: To ask the Scottish Executive what the incidence of suicide has been amongst drug and alcohol abusers in each of the last five years.

S2W-3839 Mr Adam Ingram: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1W-33207 by Malcolm Chisholm on 24 January 2003, what its interpretation of a precautionary measure is in the context of the phasing out of the use of thiomersal in vaccines.

S2W-3840 Mr Adam Ingram: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-297 by Malcolm Chisholm on 5 June 2003, what the current timescale is for phasing out the use of vaccines containing mercury.

S2W-3841 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive what consideration it has given to Audit Scotland's report Scottish Further Education Funding Council - performance management of the further education sector in Scotland. R

S2W-3842 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive how it intends to improve management and accountability in the further education sector. R

S2W-3843 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive how much has been received by area tourist boards from (a) European regional development funding and (b) matched funding, in each year since 1997.

S2W-3844 Tommy Sheridan: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will make representations to Her Majesty's Government, Superfast Ferries and Scotland's maritime unions regarding the impact on the operation of the ferry service of Superfast Ferries recognising the appropriate maritime trade unions in Scotland.

S2W-3845 Mr Adam Ingram: To ask the Scottish Executive why the suicide rate in Scotland is double that of England and Wales and whether any research has been commissioned to investigate the factors involved.

S2W-3847 Mr Brian Monteith: To ask the Scottish Executive whether its consent is required before a local authority can sanction the closure of a state-funded denominational school.

S2W-3848 Mr Brian Monteith: To ask the Scottish Executive how many state-funded denominational schools have been closed by local authorities in each of the last five years.

S2W-3849 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-1249 by Nicol Stephen on 25 June 2003, what funding will be available for international maritime routes from the (a) freight facilities, (b) track access and (c) sea access grant; how much funding is allocated, and who is eligible for such funding.

S2W-3850 Brian Adam: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it expects changes in the numbers of promoted posts in teaching as a result of the McCrone agreement and, if so, how many posts will be involved and when the changes in numbers will be implemented.

S2W-3851 Brian Adam: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has any plans to monitor any increase in the responsibility of non-promoted teaching posts for course and curricular development and whether it will publish the results of such monitoring.

S2W-3852 Brian Adam: To ask the Scottish Executive what funding it has made available for early retirement and the winding-down scheme for teachers as part of the McCrone agreement and whether such funding provision is consistent with its position on retirement ages in the public sector.

S2W-3853 Brian Adam: To ask the Scottish Executive how much it has allocated in its forward plans for the replacement of information and communication technology within schools.

S2W-3854Δ Ms Wendy Alexander: To ask the Scottish Executive what progress is being made towards implementing the proposals contained in Non-domestic rates: Returning Prescribed Industries to Conventional Valuation - A consultation paper.

S2W-3855 Ms Sandra White: To ask the Scottish Executive how many coronary and coronary-related surgical procedures have been carried out at the Golden Jubilee Hospital.

S2W-3856 Linda Fabiani: To ask the Scottish Executive how many local authorities have local outcome agreements to monitor respite care services and when the local authorities that do not have such agreements will sign them.

S2W-3857 Linda Fabiani: To ask the Scottish Executive how many respite care weeks have been provided by each local authority in each of the last five years.

S2W-3858 Linda Fabiani: To ask the Scottish Executive what projections have been made for each local authority with regard to the provision of respite care weeks.

S2W-3859 Linda Fabiani: To ask the Scottish Executive what improvements in the provision of respite care have been facilitated by monies provided in response to the report of the Royal Commission on Long Term Care.

S2W-3860 Linda Fabiani: To ask the Scottish Executive what steps it is taking to harmonise data collection on respite care across Scotland.

S2W-3861 Linda Fabiani: To ask the Scottish Executive whether local outcome agreements for the provision of respite care will contain provisions that ensure delivery of services to individuals irrespective of the degree of disability.

S2W-3862 Linda Fabiani: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has considered, or will consider, ringfencing monies allocated by it to local authorities for the provision of respite care.

S2W-3863 Linda Fabiani: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1W-34658 by Mr Frank McAveety on 18 March 2003, whether the monies provided are expected to cover the costs of carers' assessments.

S2W-3864 Linda Fabiani: To ask the Scottish Executive what policy guidance it has produced for health and social care practitioners in respect of new rights for carers contained in the Community Care and Health (Scotland) Act 2002.

S2W-3865 Tommy Sheridan: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answers to questions S2W-1912 and S2W-1913 by Malcolm Chisholm on 20 October 2003, whether it will wait until it has received the report requested from NHS Glasgow and NHS Argyll and Clyde on patient choice in respect of maternity services across the two NHS board areas before considering any major changes to maternity services in Glasgow.
