Agricultural Holdings (Scotland) Bill

Amendments for Stage 3 of the Agricultural Holdings (Scotland) Bill may now be lodged with the clerks to the Rural Development Committee: Tracey Hawe (Room 3.7 Committee Chambers, extn. 85221), Mark Brough (Room 3.7, extn. 85240) and Catherine Johnstone (Room 3.7, extn. 85218). The clerks should be consulted about the wording and admissibility of amendments.

The deadline for lodging Stage 3 amendments is 3 days before the Stage. Amendments may be lodged until 4.30 pm on any sitting day. No date for Stage 3 has yet been set. Further details will be announced in the Business Bulletin in due course.

Criminal Justice (Scotland) Bill - Stage 3

Subject to the Parliament's agreement to Business Motion S1M-3854, Stage 3 of the Criminal Justice (Scotland) Bill will take place on Wednesday 19 February and Thursday 20 February. Amendments should be lodged with the clerks to the Justice 2 Committee, Gillian Baxendine (Room 3.09, Committee Chambers, extn. 85054), Irene Fleming (Room 3.10, extn. 85220) and Richard Hough (Room 3.10, extn. 85047). The clerks should be consulted on the wording and admissibility of amendments.

Amendments may be lodged until 4.30 pm on any sitting day. Members are advised to lodge amendments in good time before the beginning of the Stage, and as early as possible during the day

The deadline for lodging amendments at Stage 3 is three days before each day of proceedings at the Stage (Rule 9.10.2A). The last day on which amendments may be lodged for proceedings on Wednesday 19 February is therefore Friday 14 February and the last day on which amendments may be lodged for proceedings on Thursday 20 February is Monday 17 February. It will only be possible for the Parliament to consider on Thursday 20 February amendments lodged on Monday 17 February if the point in the Bill to which they relate is not reached on Wednesday 20 February. Until the Parliament has agreed a timetabling motion on the Bill (which is expected to be earlier on Wednesday 20 February), it is impossible to say how far through the Bill the Parliament will proceed on that day. In order to minimise the risk of any selected amendments not being called for this reason, members are advised to lodge all amendments to the Bill by 4.30 pm on Friday 14 February.
