Protection of Wild Mammals (Scotland) Bill - Stage 2

At its meeting on 27 November, the Rural Development Committee reached the end of section 3 of the Protection of Wild Mammals (Scotland) Bill. The fifth day of Stage 2 proceedings on the Bill will be on Tuesday 4 December when the Committee will aim to complete Stage 2. Members should therefore assume that the deadline for lodging amendments for the remainder of the Bill will be on Thursday 29 November, as a result of the holiday on Friday 30 November. The deadline on the last day is 2.00 pm (Rule 9.10.2). Members are advised to lodge amendments as early as possible.

If the Committee does not complete Stage 2 on 4 December, it will aim to do so at its meeting on Tuesday 11 December.

School Education (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill - Stage 3

Amendments for Stage 3 of the School Education (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill may now be lodged with the Education, Culture and Sport Committee clerks, Martin Verity (Room 2.7 Committee Chambers, extn. 85204), Judith Evans (Room 2.7 extn. 85214) or Ian Cowan (Room 2.7 extn. 85222). The clerks should be consulted on the wording and admissibility of amendments.

The deadline for lodging Stage 3 amendments is three days before the Stage. Amendments may be lodged until 4.30 pm on any sitting day. No date for Stage 3 has yet been set. Further details will be announced in the Business Bulletin in due course.
