The following Petitions were lodged with the Parliament on 27 April 2001

PE358 Petition by Mr Christopher Helson calling for the Scottish Parliament to allocate a plot of land within the boundary of the new Scottish Parliament building at Holyrood to be defined in law as a place where any one person has the right to lay down.

PE359 Petition by Mr Maurice Frank calling for the Scottish Parliament to enact a principle in relation to the obligations of individuals in property law.

PE360 Petition by Mr Maurice Frank calling for the Scottish Parliament to abolish all inequality between the judiciary and other participants in court cases, specifically in relation to conduct allowed in court.

PE361 Petition by Mr Stuart Usher on behalf of Scotland Against Crooked Lawyers calling for the Scottish Parliament to (a) ensure that the Scottish Executive complies with all articles and provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights; (b) take various steps in relation to the regulation of the Law Society of Scotland and the Faculty of Advocates; (c) to take a further range of steps to reform and improve the justice system in Scotland.
