S1W-15367 Des McNulty: To ask the Scottish Executive whether any limit is or will be applied on the number of passengers allowed to stand on any of the passenger services operated by ScotRail and, if so, how this is or will be enforced.

S1W-15368 Des McNulty: To ask the Scottish Executive which ScotRail passenger services are regularly overcrowded and what measures are being taken to reduce this overcrowding.

S1W-15382 Des McNulty: To ask the Scottish Executive how many cancellations of passenger services there were on each ScotRail route in each quarter of each of the last two years and what the reasons were for any such cancellations.

S1W-15383 Des McNulty: To ask the Scottish Executive how many cancellations of passenger services there were on each ScotRail route in each quarter of each of the last two years, expressed as a percentage of the total services provided on each route.

S1W-15408 Elaine Smith: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will report on the outcome of the Fisheries Council in Luxembourg on 25 April 2001.

S1W-15409 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1W-15096 by Ross Finnie on 26 April 2001, whether any of the vehicles which are believed to have acted as transmitters of the foot-and-mouth virus were lorries hired on the instruction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food through the Freight Transport Association and whether it will specify which vehicles were responsible for particular outbreaks.

S1W-15410 Mr Kenneth Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive what criteria were used in selecting tenantsí representatives to serve on the board of Glasgow Housing Association.

S1W-15411 Mr Kenneth Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many Glasgow City Council staff it expects to transfer to the Glasgow Housing Association in the event of stock transfer, broken down by current department.

S1W-15412 Mr Kenneth Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether a vote of no confidence in a tenantsí representative member of the board of Glasgow Housing Association by that individualís tenantsí association ensures that personís exclusion from the board and replacement by another tenantsí representative.

S1W-15413 Mr Lloyd Quinan: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will publish its policies on Europe and external affairs and, if so, when.

S1W-15414 Mr Lloyd Quinan: To ask the Scottish Executive who was consulted on the decision that the Minister for Education, Europe and External Affairs should have responsibility for Europe and external affairs.

S1W-15415 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive how many households currently qualify for the scheme to help lower income households pay their water and sewerage charges and what the estimated cost of the scheme is for each of the next three years, broken down by local authority.

S1W-15419 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will list the statutory consents necessary for the construction of an onshore wave energy power station and the authorities to whom each application for such consents must be submitted, what average time is taken to issue each consent and what the current level is of any consent application fee.

S1W-15420 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will list the statutory consultees whom the developer of a shore based wave energy power station has to consult before construction of the station can commence and when such consultation should take place.

S1W-15421 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will list the statutory consents necessary for the construction of an offshore wave energy power station founded on the seabed and the authorities to whom each application for such consents must be submitted, what average time is taken to issue each consent and what the current level is of any consent application fee is.

S1W-15426 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive how many developers have applied to it or any of its agencies or public bodies for consents to construct wave energy power stations on the Scottish coast or in Scottish territorial waters since 1990 and whether it will list each application and the current status of each.

S1W-15427 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has undertaken or has any plans to undertake a review of the regulations and consents governing the construction of wave energy power stations on the Scottish coast or in Scottish territorial waters, with a view to streamlining the process and making it more open and accountable.

S1W-15428 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has investigated the statutory, regulatory and financial requirements with which developers of wave energy power stations on the Scottish coast or in Scottish territorial waters must comply and whether it has developed or plans to develop any strategy to reduce any barriers to such development which it has identified.

S1W-15429 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has investigated the statutory and regulatory requirements with which developers of wave energy power stations in other countries must comply and whether it has any plans to incorporate any best practices which it has identified.

S1W-15432 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive when it plans to transfer to local authorities the functions relating to planning which are currently carried out by the Crown Estate Commission.

S1W-15436 Linda Fabiani: To ask the Scottish Executive when Stonehouse Hospital in Lanarkshire is scheduled to close, what is planned for the site and when a decision will be made on who will develop the site.

S1W-15437 Robert Brown: To ask the Scottish Executive which institutions currently train midwives; how many midwives graduated from each institution in each of the last three years, and how many of these graduates subsequently obtained employment as midwives in the NHS.

S1W-15442 Robert Brown: To ask the Scottish Executive whether any requirements will be placed on local authorities to ensure that the M74 northern extension does not become congested with commuter traffic, and, if so, what these requirements will be.

S1W-15443 Robert Brown: To ask the Scottish Executive what contribution the M74 northern extension will make to its objectives of reducing road usage and improving public transport.

S1W-15444 Mr Brian Monteith: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to questions S1W-7163 and S1W-15072 by Susan Deacon on 26 April 2001, whether it can explain the discrepancy in the number of whole-time equivalent qualified school nurses between the two answers.

S1W-15445 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will detail the job specifications for the posts of chief executive and chairman of visitscotland as issued prior to the appointments of Peter Lederer and Rod Lynch.

S1W-15446 Tricia Marwick: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1W-15122 by Susan Deacon on 26 April 2001, why the information specified on people requiring prescription of beta interferon is not available centrally and whether it plans to hold this information centrally.

S1W-15447 Tricia Marwick: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1W-14855 by Angus MacKay on 26 April 2001, whether population density per hectare was the only criterion used to determine in which local authorities small businesses would be eligible for 95% of the cost of funding hardship relief related to the foot-and-mouth disease outbreak.

S1W-15448 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive whether the new chief executive of visitscotland will be selected by visitscotland and, if so, what role the Executive will take in the new appointment, in particular, whether it will issue any guidance or guidelines to visitscotland with regard to the appointment process.
