S1W-14666 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive how many qualified vets there currently are in Scotland and how many have been employed by government agencies in each of the last five years.

S1W-14667 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what progress is being made on the implementation of conservation measures for the scallop fishing industry; whether the introduction of any such measures have been postponed and, if so, on how many occasions and for what reasons.

S1W-14668 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive how many fishing vessels, broken down by sector, will be decommissioned under the £25 million decommissioning package recently announced.

S1W-14669 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what representations it has made to other EU member states to secure support for the concept of zonal management as referred to in the European Commissionís proposals in relation to the Common Fisheries Policy.

S1W-14670 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive whether ministerial responsibility for the water industry was offered to the Minister for Enterprise and Lifelong Learning following the resignation of the Minister for Environment, Sport and Culture and, if so, what her response was.

S1W-14671 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what steps are being taken to ensure that the fishing fleet is not disadvantaged by any delay in the implementation of the new mesh sizes being negotiated with the Norwegian authorities as part of the North Sea cod recovery plan.

S1W-14674 Mr Brian Monteith: To ask the Scottish Executive whether the Lord Advocate has referred, or intends to refer, under section 33 of the Scotland Act 1998, section 1(1), which establishes a graduate endowment, of the Education (Graduate Endowment and Student Support) (Scotland) (No.2) Bill as passed by the Parliament on 29 March 2001 to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council for a decision on whether this provision is within the legislative competence of the Parliament.

S1W-14692 Mr Kenneth Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive how much funding Scotland House in Brussels receives annually from (a) the Scottish Executive and (b) other Scottish public bodies.

S1W-14693 Mr Kenneth Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive what lessons it has learned from the last round of discussions on EU structural funds, taking into account the success of the Republic of Ireland in retaining Objective One status for much of the country.

S1W-14694 Brian Adam: To ask the Scottish Executive what representations it has made to Her Majesty's Government requesting that the use of Thimerosal as a preservative in vaccines be reviewed in the light of any possible adverse health effects of such use.

S1W-14695 Mr Andrew Welsh: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1W-14131 by Susan Deacon on 29 March 2001, whether it will name the members of the sub-group of the Health Departmentís Advisory Group on Infection and what the reasons are for its position on this matter.

S1W-14696 Mary Scanlon: To ask the Scottish Executive whether all patients with early rheumatoid arthritis are referred for a specialist rheumatology opinion and treatment within 12 weeks of the onset of symptoms.

S1W-14697 Mary Scanlon: To ask the Scottish Executive how public awareness of rheumatoid arthritis will be increased in order that symptoms can be recognised at an early stage and the progression of the disease delayed.

S1W-14698 Mr Kenneth Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive how much of the £26 million allocated to the Health Improvement Fund for 2000-01 each health board received.

S1W-14699 Mr Kenneth Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive what its position is in relation to the introduction of a UK tobacco regulatory authority with responsibility for all aspects of tobacco regulation, including monitoring tobacco advertising regulations, controlling the manufacture, sale and content of tobacco and nicotine products and advising government on the health risks of passive smoking.

S1W-14700 Ms Sandra White: To ask the Scottish Executive why it proposes to modify the Glasgow and Clyde Valley Joint Structure Plan to allow Dawsholm Park in Glasgow to be used for industrial development.
