1. Education (Graduate Endowment and Student Support) (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will take evidence on the general principles of the Bill at Stage 1 from Nicol Stephen, the Deputy Minister for Education, Europe and External Affairs.

2. Subordinate Legislation: The Committee will consider the following draft instruments—

The Scotland Act 1998 (Modifications of Schedule 5) Order 2000

3. Commissioning of Research into Lifelong Learning: The Committee will consider the possibility of commissioning research.

4. Education (Graduate Endowment and Student Support) (Scotland) Bill (in private): The Committee will consider the main issues to be considered in its report.

5. Inquiry into Governance of SQA (in private): The Committee will consider its report.

Social Inclusion, Housing and Voluntary Sector Committee

1. Items to be taken in private: The Committee will consider whether items 5, 6 and 7 are taken in private.

2. Questions for witnesses (in private): The Committee will consider its lines of questioning for both the Scottish Churches Social Inclusion Network and also the petitioners for petition PE242.

3. Better Homes for Scotland's Communities (The Executive's proposals for the Housing Bill): The Committee will take evidence from the Scottish Churches Social Inclusion Network from—

4. Petition: The Committee will take evidence on petition PE242 – by Action of Churches Together In Scotland, Scottish Refugee Council and Amnesty International calling for the Scottish Parliament to give asylum seekers rights of access to various support services and to amend legislation to restore the entitlement of asylum seekers to accommodation and cash based support – from the petitioners.

5. Petition: The Committee will consider the evidence taken on petition PE242 and agree any further action.

6. Inquiry into Drug Misuse and Deprived Communities: The Committee will further consider the strategy for publication of its report.

7. Social Inclusion Work Programme: The Committee will consider a paper on its work programme.
