S1W-4132 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to question S1W-1282 lodged on 1 September 1999 about the specialisms of its special advisers, when it will provide an explanation for the delay in providing a substantive answer and whether the answer will include details of those special advisers who, since the lodging of the question, have left its employment.
S1W-4136 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has received the report Economic Impacts of Road Fuel Prices in the Highlands and Islands of January 2000 by EKOS Ltd, commissioned by Highland Council and Highlands and Islands Enterprise and, if so, whether it accepts the findings of the Report and in particular the comparisons between (a) the average weekly expenditure per household in the Highlands and Islands on motoring costs including purchase, maintenance, insurance and tax and motor fuel and elsewhere in Scotland and the UK; (b) the average cost of motor fuel in the Highlands and Islands and the Scottish and UK averages; (c) the average age of private vehicles in the Highlands and Islands and elsewhere in the UK; (d) income levels in the Highlands and Islands and elsewhere in the UK, and (e) the real purchasing power of residents of the Highlands and Islands and that of the Scottish and UK population.
S1W-4222 Colin Campbell: To ask the Scottish Executive how many sewage disposal systems are planned in the West of Scotland and elsewhere which incorporate the discharge of diluted untreated liquid sewage into publicly accessible burns, rivers or lochs.
S1W-4223 Andrew Wilson: To ask the Scottish Executive what Scottish per capita spending on health is in the current financial year; what the proportionate per capita difference is in spending compared to the UK average, and whether this proportionate per capita differential will be maintained or will reduce.
S1W-4224 Karen Gillon: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1O-850 by Mr Jim Wallace on 16 December 1999, what progress has been made in the preparation of a consultation paper for Scotland on the issue of parental chastisement of children.
S1W-4225 George Lyon: To ask the Scottish Executive in what form it will publish the report and recommendations of the National Goose Forum.
S1W-4226 Mr Alex Salmond: To ask the Scottish Executive what obligations local authorities have to provide an assessment of needs for school pupils with learning difficulties and at what frequency such assessments should be undergone.
S1W-4227 Phil Gallie: To ask the Scottish Executive what advertisements have been placed for the position of President of Employment Tribunals (Scotland), when they were placed and whether it will list the journals, newspapers and any other media in which they were published.
S1W-4228 Phil Gallie: To ask the Scottish Executive whether the closing date for applications for the post of President of Employment Tribunals (Scotland) was 1 February 2000, how many applications have been received; what arrangements have been put in place for determining a short list, interviewing and selecting a successful applicant, and who will form the selection panel.
