TUESDAY 23 NOVEMBER 2010—

Scottish Government—

  • In light of the strong support for GRIP from a number of rescue and ambulance services and, as suggested by some NHS boards, will you launch a campaign to inform vulnerable groups which may benefit from this type of service?

  • Will you prepare and provide leaflets to individual GP practices to make patients aware of the benefits of GRIP?

MONDAY 13 SEPTEMBER 2010—

Scottish Government—

  • What is your response to the points made by the petitioner in response to submissions PE1327/B, PE1327/C, PE1327/D and PE1327/E?

  • Do you endorse the comments made by Grampian Fire and Rescue Service, Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service and the Royal College of General Practitioners about the value of GRIP?

TUESDAY 18 MAY 2010—

Scottish Government—

  • Do you support the use of the Grid Reference Identification Project (GRIP) and will you encourage GPs to invite vulnerable rural patients to take part in this initiative?

  • How do you support and promote it?

  • What are the benefits of GRIP for patients and medical services?

  • What contribution will you make as part of the national negotiations of GPs’ contracts to ensure that GRIP becomes part of their contracts? Should this not be possible and/or appropriate, what other initiative will you take to carry out the service provided by GRIP?

  • What discussions do you have with the Department of Health regarding incorporating GRIP as part of GPs contracts?

  • What benefits, in terms of lives saved and financial, does GRIP bring?
