Evidence Session on Draft UK Equalities Bill

At its meeting on 2 December 2008, the Committee held an evidence session with Vera Baird QC MP, Solicitor General, on the UK Equality Bill and its implications for Scotland. 

The Committee, in recognising the widespread interest in the Bill, invited its stakeholders to submit questions that the Committee could pose to the Solicitor General at the evidence session.  The Solicitor General responded to those questions that the Committee did not have enough time to ask at the meeting:
