7th Report, 2006 (Session 2) Remit and membership Remit: To consider and report on matters relating to the administration of civil and criminal justice, the reform of the civil and criminal law and such other matters as fall within the responsibility of the Minister for Justice, and the functions of the Lord Advocate other than as head of the systems of criminal prosecution and investigations of deaths in Scotland. Membership: Committee Clerking Team: Clerk to the Committee Senior Assistant Clerks Assistant Clerk Subordinate Legislation The Committee reports to the Parliament as follows— 20th Meeting, 2006 2. Hugh Henry MSP (Deputy Minister for Justice) attended the meeting to speak to and move motion S2M-4448, calling for the Committee to recommend that the Order be approved. 3. After debate, the motion was agreed to. 4. Also at its 20th Meeting, 2006 (Session 2), the Committee took evidence from Gillian Mawdsley and Phil Burns, Justice Department, Scottish Executive, on the following negative instruments—
