The meeting opened at 11.30 am.
1. Subordinate legislation: The Committee considered the following negative instruments—
the Dairy Produce Quotas (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2007, (SSI 2007/118);
the Plant Protection Products (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2007, (SSI 2007/119);
the Conservation of Seals (Scotland) Order 2007, (SSI 2007/126);
the Sea Fishing (Enforcement of Community Quota and Third Country Fishing Measures) (Scotland) Order 2007, (SSI 2007/127);
the Marketing of Vegetable Plant Material Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 2007, (SSI 2007/133);

The Committee agreed, being content with the instruments, to make no recommendation to the Parliament.
In so doing, the Committee also agreed to seek further information from the Minister for Environment and Rural Development on points raised during discussion of SSI 2007/185.
2. Subordinate legislation: The Committee considered the following negative instruments—
the Tuberculosis (Scotland) Order 2007, (SSI 2007/147);
the Waste Management Licensing Amendment (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) (Scotland) Regulations 2007, (SSI 2007/172);
the Radioactive Contaminated Land (Scotland) Regulations 2007, (SSI 2007/179);
the Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export) (Scotland) Regulations 2007, (SSI 2007/194); and
the Seed (Scotland) (Amendments for Tests and Trials etc.) Regulations 2007, (SSI 2007/224).
The Committee made no comments and agreed to consider the Subordinate Legislation Committee’s report on the instruments at its next meeting.
