1. Renewable Energy Inquiry: As part of the Committee’s consideration of this item, Jamie McGrigor declared an interest relevant to the remit of the Committee in that he lives by Loch Awe in north Argyll, in an area close to proposed windfarms which are the subject of Public Petition PE493. The Committee took evidence from the witnesses below on its inquiry into renewable energy.

The Committee requested further information from the Skye Windfarm Action Group on available international data on the impact of windfarms on eagle populations. Specifically the Committee sought further information on deaths of eagles as a proportion of the total population, and in relation to the geographical size of the country, compared with Scotland.

The meeting was suspended from 3.51pm to 3.55pm
