Members' Business
As required by the Standing Orders, a period for Members Business at
the end of each meeting of the Parliament is set out in the Business Motion. In proposing
the motions to be discussed, the Parliamentary Bureau generally selects motions which
raise local, or regional, issues. Although it is technically possible under Rule 8.14.3
for Members Business debates to be extended for up to 30 minutes, on a motion of a
member, the Presiding Officers wish to indicate that they will not agree to motions for
extension being taken as a matter of course. |
