*S1M-3273 Robert Brown: Amnesty International—That the Parliament commends the work of Amnesty International in fighting for human rights across the world and, in particular, in Israel and Palestine; welcomes the independent perspective brought to the Middle East conflict by Amnesty International; recognises that human rights must be at the centre of any peace process in the region, and urges Her Majesty’s Government to use all efforts to work for a peace settlement based on full recognition of human rights and the rights of both Israelis and Palestinians to live within their own independent and secure borders.

*S1M-3272 Kay Ullrich: Coach Accident in France and School Trips Abroad—That the Parliament notes the terrible accident in France involving a coach carrying pupils and staff from Largs Academy, which resulted in injury to passengers and the tragic and untimely death of Katherine Fish; expresses its sympathy to the family of Miss Fish, her friends and those who were injured; further notes the current position of the Scottish Executive in relation to routes and mode of travel for school trips abroad, as defined in the answer to Parliamentary Question S1W-26630 on 24 June 2002, and asks the Executive to reconsider its position and to encourage directors of education to explore other modes of travel for school trips abroad, including air and rail travel and, where coaches are used, to consider using the ferry route from Rosyth in order to minimise driving hours.

*S1M-3271 Roseanna Cunningham: Deaths at Deep Cut Army Camp—That the Parliament extends sincere condolences to the family of 17-year-old Private James Collinson from Perth who was found dead from a single gunshot wound at the Princess Royal Barracks, Deep Cut, Surrey, England; further extends its condolences to the families of 20-year-old Sean Benton from Hastings, England, who was found dead on 9 June 1995 with five gunshot wounds, 18-year-old Private Cheryl James from Llangollen, Wales, who was found dead with a single bullet shot to her head in November 1995 and 17-year-old Private Geoff Gray from Hackney, London, who was found dead on 17 September 2001 with two gunshot wounds to his head; applauds the work done by the families of victims to highlight the number of serving members of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces who have lost their lives through firearms incidents on or near military premises, and supports calls for a public inquiry into the deaths at Deep Cut with a remit to hear evidence and to make recommendations concerning protection of those serving throughout the armed forces.

*S1M-3270 Mr Andy Kerr: Water Environment and Water Services (Scotland) Bill – Financial Resolution—That the Parliament, for the purposes of any Act of the Scottish Parliament resulting from the Water Environment and Water Services (Scotland) Bill, agrees to–

(a) any increase in expenditure payable out of the Scottish Consolidated Fund in consequence of the Act; and

(b) any charge imposed, and any payment required to be made, by or under the Act and any increase, in consequence of the Act, in any charge imposed or payment required to be made by or under any other Act.
