2. Implementation of EC/EU legislation in Scotland and the scrutiny of draft legislative proposals: The Committee will consider a discussion paper on revised working procedures.

3. Remit of the Committee (external affairs): The Committee will consider correspondence from the Deputy First Minister.

4. Convener's Report: The Convener will update the Committee on-

Revisions to the postal services directive (97/67/EC): The Committee will consider a draft of a letter to be sent to representatives of the Spanish Presidency of the EU and others outlining views on reform of the postal services market and the implications for Scotland.

Proposed date for a debate in the Chamber on the Governance and the Future of the EU Inquiry.

Details of the proposed visit by the Committee to the European institutions.

5. Forward work programme for 2002: The Committee will consider revisions to its current work programme and future activities for 2002.
